I get this question a lot: what do you do when a client doesn’t want her cuticles cut? If there is very little cuticle, I don’t cut it. I remove it gently with bits and the result is still clean and beautiful. But when there is a lot of cuticle, I always explain that the result won’t look as clean and retention can be affected, so in that case cutting is the better option. It’s not about what I prefer, it’s about what gives you the best result.
